Learn how to mix your paints with a key ingredient to produce the right consistency for pouring and to create cells and lacing. You will be guided step-by-step and shown different techniques that produce different effects. You will come away with four canvas artworks.
The magic of acrylic paint pouring is that the end result will always be unpredictable and unique. This is a great activity for beginners and for those who don’t believe they have an artistic bone in their body. Course Outline:
The course will cover the following in 1 × 3 hour session:
What paint additives and pouring mediums can be mixed with acrylic paints
What basic supplies you need
Different pouring techniques
Creating attractive and complimenting colour palettes
What surfaces you can pour on besides canvases
How long should you wait before sealing your artwork
How and what to use to seal and protect your artwork
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this course, participants will have a basic understanding of the fundamental principles of acrylic paint pouring and will be able to produce simple and unique abstract art on canvas
What to bring:
Apron and don’t dress to impress as acrylic paint pouring can be messy. Disposable aprons will be available if you don’t have an apron.

'Hello there! I’m Lily and I’m a qualified trainer and assessor, educator and mixed media artist. I discovered acrylic paint pouring a few years ago and my passion for this medium grew over time as I experimented and created unique one-of-a-kind abstract art. I love the surprise element of this medium and the fact that you never know what you will end up with. Additionally, I enjoy the therapeutic benefits of acrylic paint pouring and sharing my skills and knowledge and bringing some creative happiness to everyone.'

All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.

From Jannali Station walk to the West side along Jannali railway (heading towards Sutherland), the fourth street on the right is Louise Street. Jannali Centre is at the end of Louise Street
