You will have two options to make each week, if you are fast you may make both! We will work with crochet patterns to make a Christmas garland, Christmas coasters and a Christmas placement. I will show you techniques for joining yarn and adding beads to crochet, and I’ll teach you filet and mosaic crochet techniques
Course Outline:
Week 1: I will start by reviewing basic crochet stitches like chain, single crochet and double crochet. Then you also will start your first project which will be a Christmas garland.
Week 2: You will be making Christmas coasters, and we will take a look at Ravelry which is a world wide website for knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers, and dyers made up of millions of yarn lovers from all over the world.
Week 3: I will show you filet crochet, how it works, you will choose your pattern and get started on your Christmas placemat/s. We will also look at how you could extend the placement to make a table runner.
This class is suitable for students who have mastered the basics and will include simple to intermediate patterns. This will be a small group setting so expect to make new crochet buddies during the session! All patterns provided.

About the Tutor:
'Hello, my name is Kristen and I am a crochet addict. My first exposure to crochet was with my adored Granny when I was young, then life happened. I didn’t crochet again until 2019 when covid lockdowns began and I am now obsessed.
I can read a pattern, read a diagram, understand all stitches and the anatomy of a stitch. I have made many things since 2019 including scarves, lap rugs, throw rugs, table runners, face washers, dishcloths, baby blankets, and beanies, and am currently making my first wearable – a cardigan.
I have my favourite designers, and my favourite yarn shops and regularly use the worldwide website Ravelry which is a community site, an organisational tool, and a yarn/pattern database for knitters and crocheters. I would love to share all of this with each of you as you progress on your very own crochet journey.'
Other Information:
To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informedarn/pattern database for knitters and crocheters. I would love to share all of this with
each of you as you continue your crochet journey.
