The beginner’s French part 2 course is a continuing of French Beginners' - Part 1. This course is designed for those who would like to continue on from Beginners part 1, or have previous French knowledge. Our native French-speaking tutor is happy to provide you with a sound foundation for the basics of the French language and its pronunciation. She understands the challenges that come with learning a new language, and how to overcome them and be confident. You will learn more of the French language in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

We will continue using the book “The French experience 1” as a basic tool to refer to, but during the classes, we will use multitudes of material audio and hard copies, and a multi-media which includes use of video, role play and games.

Grammar

• Verbes regulars and irregulars: travailler, commencer, finir, aimer, plaire, aller, prendre, descender.
• Prépositions: chez, à la, pour, dans, jusqu'à, de…..à , avec.

By the end of this French for beginners' part 2, you should be able to:

• Talk about your job in French.
• Understand other professions.
• Tell the time.
• Explain your working hours.
• Say the days of the week.
• Say how often you do something.
• Like and dislike the job.
• Shop for groceries.

Prerequisite:

• You need to have completed Learn French for Beginners – Part 1 to enrol in this class or demonstrate your relevant ‘level’ through a conversation with the tutor prior to enrolling.
