Learn in this creative and fun workshop how to draw structured patterns called tangles. The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing. It provides a pathway to creating art from patterns by breaking them down into elemental strokes. Using the Zentangle Method brings the enjoyment of increased focus, creativity, self-confidence, and an increased sense of well-being.
Tangling can be used as a meditative art process, quietening the mind and relaxing the body. There are ‘no mistakes’ with the belief that everyone is an artist. No previous artistic experience is needed and is suitable for anyone at any level. Learn Zentangle art, get creative and unwind with this unique art form. All equipment is provided for you to take home. In this workshop, you will be amazed at what you will learn, draw and design.

About the Tutor:
'Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts degree and has always had a love of art and creative pursuits. In 2015 Jennifer travelled to Providence, Rhode Island USA to become a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT). Since then she has been teaching the method and sharing her love of art with others. Jennifer enjoys creating artworks using pen, ink, and watercolour. She experiments with incorporating patterns into landscapes using mixed media and has submitted her work for exhibition. Jennifer continues to learn and develop her practice and skills through research and attending art conferences. In November 2018 Jennifer travelled to Providence to attend an event for CZTs to learn new techniques and bring new inspiration to her students.

To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.

Public Transport
From Jannali Station walk to the West side along Jannali railway (heading towards Sutherland), the fourth street on the right is Louise Street. Jannali Centre is at the end of Louise Street

Accessible toilet and ground floor wheelchair access available Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, see Reception for directions to room. After hours and weekends look for the Site Co-ordinator for room directions. Onsite Cafe open Monday to Friday 8:00am-3:00pm, Sat 8:30am – 1:30pm. Outside these hours there are drink/snack vending machines onsite.
