Active & Ageless Fitness Pack (2 Sessions Per Week)
Increase your overall fitness, strength and improve weight loss with our specialised over 50s facility. No experience is necessary, all levels are welcome. We will get you moving better, feeling better and looking better all in time for the holiday and festive season. All sessions are 45 minutes.
Course Outline:
Prior to starting, we will conduct a 30-minute 1 on 1 session with each class participant. This session will include:
A thorough medical questionnaire and movement screening, this is to see if we need to address any issues with you before you start the sessions.
Baseline health and fitness assessment at the start of your training. In this assessment, we assess several health & fitness metrics such as leg, upper body, core and grip strength, Cardiovascular fitness and balance. We can also take waist and hip measurements if weight loss is your goal.
At the end of your 8-week course, we will also conduct a final fitness assessment and retake all your measurements etc.
You will be given a nutritional guide written by one of our active and ageless dieticians.
Important Information:
Once you have enrolled an Active & Ageless team member will contact you to arrange your onboarding process, including your 30-minute 1 on 1 session to get you underway. All fitness classes take place at Active & Ageless - Hall 1/1D Greenbank St, Hurstville NSW 2220
Types of Class sessions:
Strength & Mobility:
Improving the body’s overall strength whilst incorporating functional movements to increase mobility and improve joint range of motion. Do this class if you would like to lose weight and improve your body toning, increase total body strength, coordination and reduce pain.
Conditioning:
A challenging and upbeat circuit that provides you with a combination of cardio and strength-based activities. The class targets improving heart health, and total body strength (including core) whilst improving your joint range of motion. Increase your body awareness, strength and cardiovascular health simultaneously.
Flexibility & Mobility:
This session focuses on easing muscle stiffness and improving one’s overall flexibility and mobility. The active and ageless signature flexibility & mobility class is a yoga-style class that is primarily designed to improve the way you move by increasing your joint range of motion, increasing total body awareness, reducing pain and improving your overall core strength. In this class, we use a variety of equipment such as foam rollers, sticks and stretch straps.
BoxCore:
Our BoxCore signature class focuses on all aspects of boxing such as basic combinations and technique, through to improving the way you move, burning fat, improving coordination (boxing is brain training at its finest!) and strengthening your core.
