Guitar Beginners Level 2 - New!
So, you have preferably completed Guitar for Beginners and are wondering what happens next? Or you have had lessons in the past and wish to continue but not at the introductory level. The Beginners Guitar Course Level 2 at SGSCC is designed for beginners who would like to take the next step in learning how to play the guitar.
Some musical knowledge or experience is required, the course welcomes all students that have completed Guitar for Beginners. Join an intimate group of like-minded people to be taught guitar by an enthusiastic, patient and supportive tutor in a fun and relaxed setting. Meet new people and have fun while improving on your established fundamentals of guitar playing.
Course Outline:
- Recap Level 1 Guitar for beginners
- Learn various scales, major, minor, blues
- Open chord variations and Barre Chords
- Picking techniques
- Ear training and working
- Learning notes and songs will be provided
Learning Outcomes:
- Play all open major/minor chords and variations
- Read guitar Tab
- Confident with strumming patterns
- Play complete songs
- Alternate picking fundamentals
- Understand song construction

About the Tutor:
'Playing and learning the guitar has been a long and enjoyable ride throughout my life. From practicing in my bedroom to playing in a band in front of family and friends in garages and back yard parties to performing at various live venues.
I have found the guitar to be a great source of relaxation and learning the guitar has been one of my proudest achievements. As an experienced player and tutor and I have managed to pass on my skills to many students, family, friends and my own children.

- To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
- All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
