Learn Italian, Level 1 - Part 1

This level is a continuation of the Beginners course. It aims at consolidating the previously acquired knowledge of Italian basic grammar, improve pronunciation and extend conversation skills while learning a wider vocabulary.

Level 1, six months prior learning of the language necessary.

Course Outline:

  • Interrogative words: where, what, who, why.
  • Use of possessive (singular)
  • Conjugation of regular verbs.
  • Vocabulary: food, drinks and places.

Course Outcomes:

  • Identify people and objects.
  • Asking and saying where things are.
  • Ordering from the Menu and ask what is available and what the ingredients are.

Please bring a pen and paper.

Language Bundle:

  • All language classes/levels are delivered as Part 1 and Part 2 across two terms. To maximise your chance of learning we recommend enrolling into both parts 1 and 2.
  • If you book into Parts 1 and Part 2 you will automatically save $40.
  • When enrolling in Part 1, Part 2 will automatically be selected at the checkout. You can untick Part 2 if you wish.

About the tutor:

Serena Maluccio was born in Rome, where she completed her studies. She has a great passion for the Italian language and cooking, which she enjoys sharing with her students. Serena is also a graphic designer specialising in bilingual book publishing and is the author of Italian books for beginners, available on Amazon. Her love for the Italian language and culture prompted her to further her education, and she is currently studying to become a secondary school teacher. Serena firmly believes that learning should be engaging and enjoyable at any age, so join her for a fantastic and enriching experience.

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled prior to the commencement and you will be informed.
