Public Speaking - Pre Junior, Junior & Senior Primary

Confidence in public speaking is one area that can help your child in every aspect of their life. This course is designed to help your child gain confidence in answering questions in class, improve their negotiation skills with peers and clearly and effectively deliver a prepared and impromptu speech.

Professional qualified and experienced teachers help their students realise their full potential through formal instruction in small class settings.

Public Speaking is a skill that is used in all aspects of life. Whether it is at school university, trying to gain that all important job or simply by making a speech at your best friend’s party. It is a skill that needs to be mastered.

The following content will be covered depending on the needs of the individual student:

  • To develop an understanding of the nature and function of the communication process
  • To develop knowledge of the use of structure, supporting materials and reasoning in oral discourse
  • Communicate effectively in oral communication using a variety of information sources

Entry Requirements:

  • Student currently in Years 2 to 6

Course Materials:

Bring pen, pencils and paper
Homework is given upon request.
