This course is designed to help your child gain confidence in answering questions in class, improve their negotiation skills with peers and clearly and effectively deliver a prepared and impromptu speech.

Public Speaking is a skill that is used in all aspects of life. Whether it is at school university, trying to gain that all important job or simply by making a speech at your best friend’s party. It is a skill that needs to be mastered.

The following content will be covered depending on the needs of the individual student:

• To develop an understanding of the nature and function of the communication process
• To develop knowledge of the use of structure, supporting materials and reasoning in oral discourse
• Communicate effectively in oral communication using a variety of information sources

Entry Requirements:

• Student currently in Years 2 to 6

Bring pen, pencils and paper
Homework is given upon request.
