Seated Chair Yoga
Are you intimidated by the idea of taking a yoga class because you’re limited in your mobility and flexibility? Then try this gentle style which modifies yoga poses so you can perform them while seated in a chair. Our seated chair yoga class is designed for those wanting to get back into exercising, recovering from an injury, have a health condition, weight challenges or simply don’t like to do exercise on the floor. You will be amazed at just how much exercise you will be able to do whilst seated in a chair.
Yoga is more than a physical movement it has a positive effect on all levels of your wellbeing. It is a holistic exercise science that dates by over 5,000 years and is still practiced today as a highly effective way to move towards wellness. Experience how the stretches of the chair yoga poses will improve flexibility, tone, and muscle strength, aids in maintaining mobility, and assists in dissolving tension. Moreover, yoga also supports mental health, the function of our internal organs improves circulation, clears energy blocks, improves memory, and heightens mental clarity.

What to bring:
- Towel and water
- Wear loose comfortable clothing
- It is recommended not to eat two hours before class.

About the Tutor:
Your tutor Krsnangi has been a practitioner of yoga and meditation for almost 30 years. She is an accredited yoga teacher as well as a trained Fitness Instructor specialising in gentle exercise. Krsnangi was introduced to yoga during her health crisis and recovery from an injury that had left her with 10 years of chronic pain and declining health. She was able to turn her life around and the insights gained from her journey towards wellness she generously shares in her classes with understanding and patience.

- To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
- All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
