Welcome to our dynamic Sports and Fitness Program! This course offers a skill-based introduction to a wide variety of sporting activities, including basketball, soccer, rugby, yoga, walking, and much more. Each week, we’ll focus on drills and exercises designed to develop hand-eye and foot-eye coordination, enhancing your abilities in a fun and supportive environment.

In the first hour, we’ll dive into engaging sports activities and skill-building drills. Then, in the second hour, we’ll head to the college gym to concentrate on strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, including weights and cardio machines, to maximize your fitness journey.

Course Outline:

Sports Skills & Drills: Practice techniques and play games in various sports, including:

  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Rugby
  • Pickleball
  • Baseball
  • Table Tennis
  • Bowling
  • Bocce
  • Chair Yoga
  • Chair Pilates
  • Walking

Gym Training: Focus on strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility with:

  • Free weights and barbells
  • Cardio machines (bike, rower, treadmill, ski erg)
  • Steps, resistance bands, and balance equipment

About the Facilitator:

Narelle has cultivated a deep understanding of physical activity, teamwork, and personal development through her lifelong passion in Sports and Fitness Programs. Throughout her childhood and continuing into adulthood, Narelle has engaged in a variety of sports, and her extensive experience includes both coaching and facilitating holiday programs for the K-6 age group, as well as supporting individuals within the disability sector.Narelle’s approach to teaching sports and fitness is centred around fostering an environment that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth. She believes that sport and exercise are not only effective stress relievers but also valuable tools for enhancing decision-making skills, setting goals, and promoting self-confidence. Donna runs our Sports and Fitness program on Wednesday’s. For the past three years, she’s been running this program, where she combines her lifelong passion for health and fitness with a fun, engaging atmosphere.
she’s been involved in fitness for most of her life, with a diverse range of interests including gym workouts, yoga, and soccer. Whether she’s leading a high-energy workout, guiding a calming yoga session, or playing on the soccer field, her goal is to make fitness enjoyable and accessible for everyone.Donna believes that staying active should be both fun and fulfilling, and she’s dedicated to creating a positive environment where you can explore new activities, enhance your skills, and reach your personal fitness goals.
