Tech Savvy Seniors - Sharing Photos and Other Attachments Online
The internet is a great place to share the photos and videos you’ve taken – and to see the videos and photos other people have taken. The shared photos and videos can be seen instantly from anywhere, with no travelling, mailing or photo albums required. You can share media with just your family, or with the whole world.
Basic knowledge of the Internet and Email is assumed. This pre-requisite knowledge can be gained or refreshed by completing the Tech Savvy Seniors Courses - Intro to the Internet Part 1 and Intro to Email courses.
In this course you will learn:
- How to send photos/other files via your phone to family/friends/work
- How to copy/backup files from your phone to a computer/laptop or USB/Hard drive
- How to view files, particularly photos and videos on different devices
- How to attach files, particularly photos to an email to send to family/friends/work
- About the privacy implications associated with using applications to share photos/videos
- How to download/use a photo editing app to view/organise photos on your device
- How to send large files using Wetransfer
What to bring:
- Phone containing photos/videos - make sure you have your phone cable (and a manual if possible)
- USB with Photos/Videos (if not on phone)
- A laptop/tablet with Photos/Videos (make sure you have your USB cable) if not on phone
- USB/Hard Drive to save files to
- A current email account (make sure you know your password)
- If you don’t have an email account, be prepared to set one up
- Pen
- Paper
Who is this session for:
People over 60
People over 50 with a lifelong disability
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people over 50.
PLEASE NOTE - Two Class Enrolment Limit:
Due to very high demand in 2024 we have capped the number of enrolments to two in 2025 for the Seniors Festival Program at SGSCC. The other condition is that those two enrolments have to be different. i.e. You can’t enrol into both Seated Yoga classes.
