In this course you will learn about your payroll obligations, how to set up your payroll, and to navigate the payroll dashboard. You will practice how to enter payroll information, enter payroll calendars and pay items, add employee details, set up leave entitlements, and process pay runs. This includes preparing payslips and preparing the batch payment in Xero. You will also learn how to prepare end of year procedures including payment summaries.

About the tutor:

My name is Sigrid and I have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and also an Advanced Diploma of Accounting. I am a native speaker and lived and worked in Germany for over 30 years before coming to Australia in the year 2000. I run my own business as a bookkeeper and BAS Agent since 2007 and I have taught children German at the German Saturday School for a few years as well adults at the college.

I am teaching courses for the accounting software MYOB and Xero as well as a theory course called Accounting for Non-Accountants. I have a passion for bookkeeping and enjoy passing my knowledge on.
