Knowing that I am here to empower students from all over the world with the knowledge of how to look after our aged community makes me feel great.
What did you do before working with SGSCC?
- I worked as a Registered nurse in a hospital and Aged Care Homes for 26 years
- I also worked in Disability Sector for 5 years
- Worked in an RTO training international students in Cert III Aged Care for 4 years
What do I like best about working at SGSCC?
- Best management, hardworking, very supportive and respectful.
- They believe in their staff
- Ensures that everyone shares the same vision and dedicated to the mission.
- There is a sense of unity where we all work towards making sure that our students enjoy their journey at SGSCC
- Last, but not least I love coming to work because of my beautiful students. They treat me like a mother hence everyone including management calls me Mama Thembi.
- Knowing that I am here to empower students from all over the world with the knowledge of how to look after our aged community makes me feel great.
What are you passionate about?
Knowing that I am planting a seed in my students lives, becoming part of their journeys and seeing every student that I have trained achieving their goals in life, getting their qualifications, becoming RNs, getting married and having kids and that makes me a grandmother more than 100 times.

Do I have one, let me think. Not really. What inspires me is seeing people succeeding in life, being nice and helpful to each other.
